German Factory Turnover Unchanged In August
Germany's manufacturing turnover remained unchanged in August, after rising in the previous month, preliminary data released by the Federal Statistical Office showed Tuesday.
The seasonally and working-day adjusted manufacturing turnover remained unchanged month-on-month in August, after advancing a revised 1.7 percent in July. In June, the sector recorded a 1.3 percent decrease in turnover.
Domestic turnover decreased 1.7 percent sequentially, while turnover from business with foreign clients increased 2 percent during the month.
On an annual basis, manufacturing turnover decreased a working-day adjusted 1.5 percent in August. Domestic sales declined 3.2 percent year-on-year, while overseas turnover edged up 0.7 percent.
In the January-August period, total turnover in the manufacturing sector moved up 0.2 percent from the corresponding period a year earlier, data showed.
