German Factory Turnover Falls In December
Germany's manufacturing turnover decreased from last year in December, data released by the Federal Statistical Office showed Wednesday.
Turnover in the manufacturing industry decreased a working-day adjusted 0.5 percent year-on-year in December, reversing the 1.8 percent increase seen in November. In October, turnover advanced 3.6 percent annually.
Turnover in the overseas market fell 4.2 percent annually, following the previous month's 1.1 percent increase. In the domestic market, turnover rose 3.2 percent during the month, faster than November's 2.3 percent rise.
Month-on-month, the seasonally and working-day adjusted factory turnover decreased at a faster rate of 2.2 percent in December than November's 1.4 percent fall. In the whole of 2011, manufacturing turnover increased 7.2 percent from the previous year, the agency said.
