German Factory Orders Decline More Than Forecast


German manufacturing orders declined more than expected in June, the latest figures from the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology showed Tuesday.
Factory orders fell 1.7 percent month-on-month in June compared to expectations for a 0.8 percent drop. In May, orders recorded a 0.7 percent increase.
Annually, factory orders dropped 7.8 percent, steeper than the 7 percent fall forecast by economists. This followed a 5.3 percent decline in May.
