U.S. Dollar Declines Against European Majors
The U.S. dollar weakened against European major counterparts in the Asian session on Friday following Fed official Narayana Kocherlakota's statement that the central bank should keep rates lower until 5.5% unemployment is achieved.
The dollar slipped to as low as 0.9318 against the franc and 1.2993 against the euro with 0.93 and 1.30 seen as the next downside target levels, respectively.
Against the pound, the dollar slipped to a 2-day low of 1.6262 around 12:35 am ET.
