Dutch Inflation Rises Unexpectedly In July
Dutch consumer price inflation accelerated unexpectedly in July, Statistics Netherlands said Thursday.
Annual inflation rose to 2.3 percent from 2.1 percent in June. Economists had forecast inflation to slow to 1.9 percent. Inflation rose largely due to higher housing rent. On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.7 percent.
EU harmonized inflation edged up to 2.6 percent annually in July from 2.5 percent in June.
