Pound At 5-day High Against Euro

The pound outperformed against the euro, hitting a 5-day high of 0.8034 at 3:40 am ET Wednesday. The next resistance level for the pound is seen at 0.80. The euro-pound pair was quoted at 0.8053 at Tuesday's close.

The U.S. dollar proceeded with its Asian session's advance against the U.K. currency in early European deals on Monday.
The greenback approached 1.6073 against the pound, its strongest level since October 3. If the greenback gains further, it may break 1.60 level.
