Yen Climbs Against Majors


The Japanese yen strengthened against other major currencies in late Asian deals on Friday as global sentiment faded after China's disappointing trade figures for July.
The yen rose to 78.43 against the greenback, 122.51 against the pound, 80.28 against the franc, 96.39 against the euro and 78.95 against the loonie.
Against the aussie and the kiwi, the yen hit a 2-day high of 82.54 and a 1-week high of 63.52, respectively.
