German, Euro Zone Economic Confidence Slump In November
ZEW Survey today on Tuesday showed the rapid deterioration in economic confidence in the euro area as the debt crisis lingers.
Business confidence declined sharply in November according to ZEW Survey in Germany and in the Euro Area as the outlook for growth remains weak.
The ZEW Center for European Economic Research in Mannheim said German businesses economic sentiment slowed sharply with the ZEW Economic Sentiment index dropping to 5.4 from 10.0 in October. Businesses ZEW Expectations which gauges the expectations for the economic outlook for the coming six dropped to minus 15.7 following minus 11.5
As for the euro area, the ZEW expectations index dropped to minus 2.6 following minus 1.4 the previous month.
