| Japan Cabinet To Meet On Stimulus Measures Japan's Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda has called a special meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday to instruct the ministers to work on a new round of economic stimulus plans to counter deflation, yen rise and subdued economic recovery. The meeting, which is expected to start shortly, comes amid reports that the government is planning to introduce new economic stimulus using money from the fiscal 2012 budget. Last week, the government slashed its assessment of the economy for a third consecutive month, saying that the "economic recovery is in a weak tone recently due to deceleration of the world economy."   | |
