Norway Trade Surplus Declines In September
Norway's trade surplus declined to NOK 23.57 billion in September from NOK 31.06 billion a year ago, Statistics Norway reported Monday.
Largely due to a decline in crude oil shipment, total exports of goods fell 10.9 percent annually to NOK 65.4 billion in September. At the same time, imports dropped 1.2 percent to NOK 41.8 billion.
Mainland exports were down 5 percent, and came to NOK 30.7 billion.
Excluding oil, natural gas and condensates, the trade deficit widened to NOK 11.05 billion from NOK 9.95 billion last year.
