Euro Trades Near 2-week High Against Pound

Against its British counterpart, the European single currency traded further in Asian deals on Thursday. At 2:35 am ET, the euro advanced to a 2-week high of 0.8036 versus the sterling from Thursday's New York session close of 0.8030.

The euro also spiked up further against the US dollar in Asian session and presently trading near 1.2936 from yesterday's closing value of 1.2907. On the upside, 1.2940 is seen as the next target level for the euro.
