Swiss Consumer Prices Fall More Than Expected
Swiss consumer prices declined more than expected in August, data released by the Federal Statistical Office showed Wednesday.
The consumer price index fell 0.5 percent year-on-year in August compared to expectations for a 0.4 percent drop. This followed a 0.7 percent drop in the CPI in July and 0.2 percent increase in August last year.
On a monthly basis, the index remained unchanged against forecast for a 0.1 percent increase.
