The pound fell sharply against its major opponents in early deals Thursday, hitting fresh 2-week lows of 0.7913 against the euro and 1.5185 against the Swiss franc around 5:30 am ET. On the downside, the pound may find target levels at 0.7950 against the euro and 1.5115 against the franc.
The sterling also slipped to session's lows of 124.69 against the yen and 1.5870 against the US dollar around 5:40 am ET. If the British currency weakens further, likely support levels are seen at 1.5860 against the greenback and 124.15 against the yen.
