Pound Trades Near 5-week Low Against U.S. Dollar

Extending its recent decline, the pound slipped to near a 5-week low of 1.5451 against the U.S. dollar in early European deals on Thursday. The next downside target level for the pound is seen at 1.54. At Wednesday's close, the pound-greenback pair was worth 1.5505.
