Euro Halts Downtrend Ahead Of ECB Rate Decision
The European Central Bank is set to announce its decision at 7.45 am ET. ECB President Mario Draghi is likely to reduce the main refinancing rate by 25 basis points to 0.75 percent.
The euro paused its recent downtrend ahead of the rate decision. As of 7:40 am ET, the common currency was trading at 1.2511 against the dollar, 99.70 versus the yen, 0.8022 against the pound and 1.2015 against the Swiss franc.
