-The euro undoubtedly is currently benefitting from the weak appeal of the other major currencies that are also suffering from lacklustre fundamentals and backdrops in the current global climate. Nevertheless, we note that while the situation is difficult for all the major G10 currencies, none is facing greater risks than the euro.
-Moreover, the market appears partly paralysed as it waits for key decisions by European leaders, after 18 summits since 2010, which have not successfully addressed the issues, and while the discussions under way appear more critical than ever. The risk of disappointment is substantial.
