Greece Industrial Production Continues To Fall
Greece industrial production continued to decline in January albeit at a slower rate, data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Monday.
Industrial production declined a working-day adjusted 5 percent annually in January, after falling 12.4 percent in December. It was the smallest decline in four months.
Among the major industrial groups, production in the mining and quarrying sector advanced 6.1 percent annually in January. Manufacturing output fell 6.3 percent annually, while electricity production declined 5.5 percent.
Month-on-month, production dropped 0.4 percent in January, slower than the 4.6 percent fall in the previous month. Production declined for the second consecutive month in January.
