Panel Discussion on Economic Implications of Carbon Regulations

Including

Prof. Dominick Salvatore, Distinguished Professor and Chair of

Department of Economics, Fordham University

Dr. Jorge Rodriguez, Former Minister of Economy and Energy, Chile

Dean, Business School, Universidad Alberto Hurtado



Drawing on the results of the new World Energy Outlook 2009, Mr.

Jones will provide a comprehensive update of energy demand and

supply projections and their implications for energy security and the

environment. Amb. Jones will further outline results of an in-depth

assessment of the prospects for global gas markets, including

emergence of shale gas as an abundant and potentially low-cost source

of supply in North America. He will also present a post-2012

scenario, which the IEA prepared as input to the UNFCC climate

negotiations, which details a pathway for the energy sector to

achieve a transition to a low-carbon economy.

We have 2 very important events scheduled for next week. Mr. Manny
Chirico, CEO of Phillips-Van Heusen, and our 2nd Annual Women in Leadership
Conference, highlighting Executives from Goldman Sachs, Con Edison, Ernst &
Young, and JP Morgan Chase. These are important networking events that
could be beneficial in building relationships. The information is posted
