July Tends to be a Strong Month for the Gbp

-Comparing the trade weighted indices; July tends to be a strong month for the GBP, followed by the CHF. In contrast, the commodity currencies - NZD, CAD and AUD - have a tendency to end the month on a negative note, though the average losses have been restricted to within 0.5%.
-The biggest average loss in July has been from CAD/CHF at just shy of 1%. However, in 7 of the past 16 years, the CAD has strengthened against the CHF, lowering the confidence level.
