Yen can Lay Claim to Being the Only True Safe Haven Currency

-Beyond the short-term prospects for strength, the yen can lay claim to being the only truesafe haven currency. Japan has USD 3.1tr of net overseas assets and the large governmentdebt is almost entirely held by domestic investors. For the yen to rise, all that is required isthat Japanese investors decline to add to their already large overseas asset holdings.
